DSR Calculator
Enter your net monthly income, existing commitments and the new instalment to calculate your DSR and the income left after all debt payments.
This result is an estimate only. Check with your bank or the relevant authority before making decisions.
How it is calculated
- Total commitments = existing commitments + new instalment
- DSR = total commitments ÷ net income × 100
- Income remaining = net income − total commitments
Worked example
Net income RM6,000, existing commitments RM1,500, new instalment RM1,200:
- Total commitments: RM1,500 + RM1,200 = RM2,700
- DSR: RM2,700 ÷ RM6,000 = 45.00%
- Income remaining: RM6,000 − RM2,700 = RM3,300
Why your number may differ
This calculator uses net income. Banks count different commitments and set their own limits, so the DSR on your actual application may differ.
