Enter your gross salary, age, status and number of children to see take-home pay after EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB. Employer contributions are shown for information.
EPF comes from the Third Schedule: 11% under 60, band-based, and none at 60 and above. SOCSO is First Category under 60 and Second Category at 60 and above. EIS applies under 60.
PCB uses LHDN’s 2026 computerised method on a January basis for a steady salary; zakat via payroll reduces PCB. Employer contributions are shown for information and are not deducted.
Worked example
A salary of RM5,000, under 60, single:
Employee EPF: RM550
SOCSO: RM24.75
EIS: RM9.90
PCB: RM110.00
Take-home pay: RM4,305.35
The employer also pays EPF RM650 and SOCSO + EIS RM96.55.
Why your number may differ
Allowances that are not subject to EPF change the deductions. TP1 reliefs submitted to your employer reduce PCB. Your employer’s payroll uses your year-to-date pay, so PCB in later months can differ slightly from this estimate. Voluntary EPF top-ups are not included.
Frequently asked questions
Why can my PCB change from month to month?
Payroll uses year-to-date figures, so PCB can differ by month. This calculator gives a January-basis estimate for a steady salary.
What is not included in this calculator?
Bonuses, overtime, unpaid leave and other deductions such as loans are not counted. Only EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and zakat through payroll are deducted.
What changes if I am 60 or older?
There is no employee EPF contribution, SOCSO follows the Second Category and EIS does not apply. You have no EPF, SOCSO or EIS deducted, but PCB still applies.
