Enter a temperature, choose the source and target units, and convert between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin.
Result
This result is an estimate only. Check with your bank or the relevant authority before making decisions.
How it is calculated
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32
K = °C + 273.15
For the other directions the calculator reverses these formulas: for example °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9 and °C = K − 273.15. Temperatures below absolute zero are rejected.
Worked example
100 °C × 9/5 + 32 = 212 °F
37 °C × 9/5 + 32 = 98.6 °F
98.6 °F = 37 °C, and 37 + 273.15 = 310.15 K
Why your number may differ
The result is rounded to two decimal places. Converting back and forth repeatedly can add small rounding differences. Make sure the correct unit is chosen in both “From” and “To”.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Multiply the Celsius temperature by 9/5 and add 32. For example 100 °C is 212 °F.
How do I convert Celsius to Kelvin?
Add 273.15 to the Celsius temperature.
Why does this calculator reject some values?
A temperature below absolute zero cannot exist, so the calculator shows an error instead of a result.
