How it is calculated

Frequently asked questions

How is win percentage calculated?

Wins divided by total games played, times 100. A record of 15 wins and 5 losses is 15 ÷ 20 = 75%.

How are ties treated?

Different sports differ. The main figure counts a tie as a game not won. The second figure counts a tie as half a win, as used in baseball and some leagues.

Is this the same as win rate in games?

Yes. Online games show win rate the same way, wins divided by matches played.
