Enter a percentage if you chose percentage, or a ringgit amount if you chose amount.

This result is an estimate only. Check with your bank or the relevant authority before making decisions.

How it is calculated

  1. For a percentage raise: increase = current salary × percentage ÷ 100. For an amount: increase = the amount you enter.
  2. New salary = current salary + increase
  3. Increase (%) = increase ÷ current salary × 100
  4. Yearly difference = increase × 12

This is gross salary. Take-home pay changes after EPF and PCB; use the Net Salary Calculator to see it.

Worked example

Salary RM4,000 with a 5% raise:

  1. Increase: RM200
  2. New salary: RM4,200
  3. Yearly difference: RM2,400

If the raise is RM300 (amount), the new salary is RM4,300, an increase of 7.50%, and the yearly difference is RM3,600.

Why your number may differ

These figures are gross salary. After EPF and PCB, the increase in your take-home pay will be smaller.
