Bowling Score Calculator

Enter the number of pins knocked down on each roll, in order.

A strike is 10 on its own roll. Example: 10, 7, 3, 9, 0 means a strike, then a spare of 7 and 3, then a 9.

This result is an estimate only. Double-check important figures before relying on them.

How it is calculated

  • Open frame: the pins from both rolls
  • Spare: 10 + the next roll
  • Strike: 10 + the next two rolls
  • 10th frame: a strike or spare earns bonus rolls

For win percentages across games, use the win percentage calculator.

Worked example

Rolls 10, 7, 3, 9, 0 …:

  • Frame 1 strike: 10 + 7 + 3 = 20
  • Frame 2 spare: 10 + 9 = 19, running total 39
  • Full game total: 167

Why your number may differ

Scores wait for bonus rolls, so a strike in the last scored frame shows once the next rolls are entered.
